Test Instructions for LOCL

Important
Please test on a physical device, because iOS simulators don't load configuration profile fonts.

I. Preparation

Get font

A. Download packaged configuration profile to your phone.
What's inside: Source Han Sans.ttc

B. Manually prepare materials

1. Download font file from GitHub to your phone. Choose "Static Super OTC".
2. Install the font with an existing app, for example, iFont.

1. Open iFont
2. Tap "Import font"
3. Tap "Import from files"
4. Select the downloaded font file. Tap Done.
5. Wait for processing. If needed, swipe down to view Imported Fonts list.
6. Under "Source Han Sans - 7 Files", on "Regular", tap INSTALL.
7. Tap Continue.
8. Tap Allow.
9. Tap Close.

Install configuration profile

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Downloaded Configuration Profiles.
3. Tap Install. Type your device unlock password if needed.
4. Tap Install. When confirmation, tap Install.
5. Tap Done.

II. Start testing

1. Open LOCL.
2. Type or Copy and Paste the characters "骨過曜說".
3. In the font family menu, choose "Source Han Sans".
4. In the font weight menu, choose "Regular".
5. In the locale menu, choose between options to see the glyphs vary.
6. Tap Copy to copy the rendered text.
7. Paste to Keynote, Instagram stories or different destinations. The destination determines whether an image or a PDF object is accepted.
8. Tap Export. Choose your desired format. Save rendered text with iOS share sheet to anywhere.
